A 12-week expedition designed to expand your range across the five territories of a man’s life: Woman. Work. Wealth. Wisdom. World.
The next Soul Hunt · October 26

We begin October 26 · Hunt. Gather. Return.
The Soul Hunt is a 12-week guided group expedition for men who sense there's more to themselves, and more to the lives they've built, waiting to be discovered. Through five territories—woman, wisdom, work, wealth, and world—we draw on depth psychology, soul work, and philosophy to explore what it means to become more fully ourselves. Through weekly gatherings, field assignments, and a brotherhood of like-hearted men, we follow what's asking for our attention and bring what we discover back into how we love, work, lead, and live.

Ryan Soul Hunting in the Amazon jungle

Somewhere in midlife, a man's quest changes.
There comes a time in a man's life when the things that once gave him direction stop telling him where to go.
His work. His marriage. His ambitions. Even his understanding of success.
Nothing necessarily needs to be wrong. Something new may simply be asking to be lived.
That's where the hunt begins.
Through my own life, my work with men and women, and my doctoral research, I've come to see that this shift isn't a mistake. It's part of the natural unfolding of a human life.
The familiar territories of love, work, wealth, wisdom, and the world begin to change. What once felt certain becomes unfamiliar. What once gave us direction starts asking something different of us.
And within that unfamiliarity are parts of ourselves waiting to be discovered.
The Soul Hunt is an invitation to explore, develop, and transform those five territories in your life.
Twelve weeks. Five territories. A small brotherhood of men.
Part expedition. Part inquiry. Part art of becoming.
Every man's hunt is different.
We’ll explore and develop the deep parts.
Love. Intimacy. Desire. Conflict. Devotion.
Knowing. Intuition. Truth. Meaning. Mystery.
Ambition. Calling. Craft. Contribution. Enough.
Money. Worth. Receiving. Generosity. Power.
Creation. Family. Friendship. Adventure. Legacy.

Ryan Wegenast has spent more than fifteen years working with men at the edges of what they've built — their marriages, businesses, identities, ambitions, beliefs, and sense of what comes next.
His own path has been equally difficult to categorize.
He began in medicine and surgical work, trained within the military, and eventually left that world to pursue a very different education: years of work with founders, executives, artists and families; study with Indigenous elders and healing traditions; and an ongoing doctoral inquiry into depth psychology, mythology, identity, creativity, and what it means to become more fully human.
Today, Ryan is a doctoral researcher in East-West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. His work brings together psychology, philosophy, myth, leadership, embodied practice, creativity, the natural world, and more than fifteen years of working directly with people navigating significant thresholds in their lives.
He is also a husband, father of three daughters, creator, and fellow traveler through the same territories Soul Hunt explores.
SoulHunting wasn't created as another system for improving men.
It grew out of a life spent asking better questions, entering unfamiliar territory, and discovering that some things cannot be figured out from where you're currently standing.
Sometimes you have to go looking.
